Hi, Everyone,
This week’s long-awaited rain and gorgeous November days prompted me to write. Kathy and I hope you’re doing well and enjoying nature in all her glory.
My recent book signing at The Fly Shop in Redding turned out to be everything Kathy and I had hoped for, and a whole lot more. Mike Michalak’s friendly and highly professional staff couldn’t have been more gracious and welcoming. It’s easy to understand why The Fly Shop, one of Redding’s icons, has been in business for forty-four years, draws customers from all over the world, and is still going strong.
Hi, Everyone,
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of my writing over the years and to tell you some exciting news! My first novel, The Case of the Missing Game Warden, has been selected as a “Best First Novel” award finalist in the Next Generation Indie Book Awards for 2022. The Next Generation Indie Book Awards is the largest international awards program for independent publishers and authors in the world. As is the case with my first two books—Badges, Bears, and Eagles and The Game Warden’s Son—The Case of the Missing Game Warden is a Coffeetown Press book, published by Epicenter Press of Seattle, Washington.
A standing-room-only crowd showed up at the Orland Carnegie Community Center this week to hear me talk about my latest book, The Case of the Missing Game Warden. Thanks so much to Friends of the Orland Free Library for inviting me, and thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who came. What a wonderful day!
Last Saturday’s book signing at the Chico Barnes and Noble was so much fun. We were greeted at the open door by store managers Caitlyn and Alisa. They and their professional staff made us feel at home all day.
We had a ball! Being interviewed by Nancy Wiegman on her National Public Radio program, Nancy’s Bookshelf, has been one of the highlights of my writing career. She is the consummate professional and always makes the experience so enjoyable.
Hi, Everybody,
I hope you’re all happy, healthy, and doing well.
