Last week, I was invited to give an author presentation to the Daughters of Leisure, a wonderful, fun-loving group of ladies from Yuba City and the surrounding area, dedicated to improving the quality of life by engaging in enjoyable, useful activities. “That’s a mission I can get behind!” I said to Kathy, and away we went.
The meeting began by discussing old and new business, followed by a lunch reminiscent of the finest Thanksgiving dinners Kathy and I have ever had the pleasure of feasting on. Next up on the agenda was my presentation about my writing career and latest novel, The Outlaw from Newville, which all of the gracious ladies seemed to enjoy. Kathy and I can’t thank the Daughters of Leisure enough for their hospitality and for making us feel so at home. We had a ball!
Our next event will be a book signing at the Glenn County Office of Education’s Rusty Wagon boutique in Orland, on Saturday, December 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Rusty Wagon, located at 420 Walker Street, will have copies of The Outlaw from Newville and all my other books on hand.
